For good reason people are consistently wanting to know what boots I wear during outdoor activities. THAT is a hard questions to answer. I have several pairs of boots. In Kentucky the weather varies greatly from season to season. I do not know how you could stay comfortable without boots for the seasons. I believe you could easily get by with two pairs. One for cold and one for hot weather. With that said I have several different boots that i wanted to bring to your attention. In this blog piece I wanted to detail the pros and cons of each, where they are manufactured and approximate price. You will see more information as well as pictures and videos of each in the clip below.
Wolverine, 8″ hunting boot, Made in China, ~$140
Danner, 5″ hiker, Made in China, $150
Tactical Research, 8″ tactical “tennis shoe boot”, Made in China, ~$130
Danner, 8″ USMC combat, Made in USA, ~$300.00
Muk, 8″, Chore Boot, Made in China, ~$100
Merrel, 5″, Hiker, Made in China, ~$120
As I state in the video, this was not designed to be a specific make and model review but rather and overview of several different model types and some aspects of each. If you have further questions about any of these, please do not hesitate to put your question on the comments of the video on youtube, or in the comments section of this blog below.
Come on, join in, let’s learn together!
