You often see people that spend a great deal of time outside wearing mittens. Despite the cool factor that gloves with five fingers give us these days. There are very good reasons for choosing mittens over gloves.
If you are doing a lot of work outside. Farming, construction, utility work mittens are a poor choice. I have done work like that life my entire life and having a good pair of gloves that you can still work in are a must when it is cold. For general outdoor experience like hiking, hunting, bushcrafting, survival training, and more, a good pair of mittens will serve you nicely.
We spend a great deal of time trying to emphasize for folks that your body is a heater. Matter of fact during most outdoor pursuits, particularly during survival based activities that are real your body may be the only heater that is available. So we want to make sure that we help it to be effective and efficient in doing that.
