I had the good fortune of attending a Close Quarters Battle Carbine Class with Iron Sight Defense recently. In that class we practiced utilizing a rifle for self-defense. I am not an advocate of being-a-victim mentality. I have been involved in defensive tactics/combatives and other H2H related activities for over 20 years now. A few years ago I started adding in tactical shooting to my toolbox of self-defense skills. In that regard I am a newbie (only been practicing for 10 years or so) to this method of taking care of myself.
So when I can afford it, I travel and train with instructors who can help me become a safer more accurate shooter. In that regard I took this class with ISD and learned a lot of valuable information. There will be follow up to this video in which I detail the class itself, the things I learned and more.
It is my sincere hope that we continue to help educate all those who can train on the methods of safer gun handling and shooting.
As you will see in the video, I do not pretend to be a Tactical Timmie Guru. Nothing is further from the truth. I do show you what I utilized. If you have suggestions then please add them in the reply section below. Come on, join in, let’s learn together!
